Talk-o-Meter is a new iPhone app that measures a conversation, knows who is speaking and keeps track of the speaker's talk time. This could be very useful if you're having an important discussion or if you find yourself mediating between two disagreeing parties. The display is clear and concise and uses coloured percentage bars to measure the conversation. The charts can be set to refresh automatically at one, two or five minute intervals so you can fully concentrate on your conversation or meeting.
This App is great for a first release. It is simple and does exactly what it says in the description, but at $4.99 I would normally expect a few more features for my money. The developer has promised to include a feature for conversations of more than 2 people in the next release but it could still be further improved. The ability to calibrate the mic to be more accurate in noisy environments and the ability to record and playback the conversations would make this application far more suitable for professional use. I hope these and more features are considered for future updates.
