One of the big draws of a portable device is document editing and the iPad is certainly not going to disappoint. At the iPad announcement, Steve Jobs told us that Pages, along with Numbers and Keynote, would be coming to the iPad with an all-new, designed-for-iPad interface.
Pages includes 16 built-in templates, the ability to create and edit iWork '09 and Microsoft Word documents as well as save them to both those formats, as well as PDF. Documents can be emailed, transferred to a computer via WiFi or upload and publish them to iWork.com. Users can add charts, tables, photos and videos to enhance their documents, all from within the app.
Pages is, as was announced at the end of January, priced at $9.99 and will be available as soon as the iPad gates open on April 3rd.
