At GDC I was able to meet with Low Five Games, and discussed all kinds of things. One noteworthy item was that Earth Vs Moon is coming to the iPad, and it will be redesigned for the bigger interface. This means the graphics will be upscaled, but the aspect ratio of the missiles and towers will remain relatively the same.
Now there will be full size missile command on a multi touch device with tons and tons of missiles headed towards earth. There will be four to six towers rather than the current three and the the missiles, and enemies will be coming at you in much greater numbers. Get your fingers ready to start tapping away all over the 9.7" screen. See the video below of missile command on a wall sized touch screen to give you an idea.
On another note Earth Vs Moon ($0.99 -> Free) for the iPhone and iPod Touch is free today. The game is Missile Command redone for the new generation with souped up graphics, a wonderful storyline, and five huge boss battles. You face more than just missiles, and you can unlock tons of new weapons in a game we named one of our 100 best.
Low Five Games also stated that they're working on a new game, but it's way too early to reveal anything about it. The Horrible Vikings won't be coming to the iPad as all of the deluxe colorful art was made for the iPhone scale.
