Gameloft Hitting the iPad Hard With Eight Launch Titles - Plus A Bunch of Screenshots
by Staff Writer
April 1, 2010
Gameloft was at the iPad keynote showing off N.O.V.A. for the iPad. Since then they've been hard at work redesigning eight of their iPhone titles for the iPad.
The iPad Launch Titles:
N.O.V.A. HD
UNO HD
Dungeon Hunter HD
Let's Golf HD
Asphalt 5 HD
Modern Combat Sandstorm HD
Real Soccer 2010 HD
NFL 2010 HD
N.O.V.A. will be $9.99 while the other seven will share typical Gameloft iPhone launch prices of $6.99 each. All eight games will be available April 3rd, though pricing and screenshot are subject to change.
Each of the eight games has iPad optimized graphics, and are all called HD to indicate a graphics boost. They're more than that though. N.O.V.A. HD has iPad optimized controls, UNO HD lets four friends play on a single iPad, and still play other iPads and iPhone/iPod Touches over Wifi. Dungeon Hunter HD has a new mini-map on screen at all times with more screen real estate for UI functions, and Modern Combat Sandstorm HD shares similar control enhancements to N.O.V.A. HD.
Let's Golf HD enhances the 3D golfing sim for the iPad, while NFL 2010 HD has updated graphics and iPad optimized controls with better icon placement and four finger gestures. Asphalt 5 HD looks like the best of the bunch with the enhanced graphics, and allows you to choose the position of the controls on your iPad screen. Finally Real Soccer 2010 HD has iPad exclusive gameplay modes, and new control options.
Gameloft has done a lot with their games for the iPad, and are ready for launch to say the least. See all of the screenshots below.
