Games To Download For Free Today: Red Bull Racing, Battle Zone, And Piyo Blocks
March 27, 2010
Sure, it's difficult to top yesterday's free game line-up of The Creeps! and Charmed, but we think we just may have done it or hopefully at the very least matched it with the three free games we have for you today.
Red Bull Racing Challenge ($2.99 -> Free): Allows you to jump in the driver's seat of the grand prix-winning RB5 and race around six famous circuits from all over the world. Record the fastest time in qualifying to get to the front of the pack before the race even begins, or work on your reaction time with the in-game pit stop challenge.
The game also features local Bluetooth multiplayer, the ability to choose from three control schemes, and customizable races.
Artificial Life has two contests going that can be accessed from within the game. They are handing out tons of prizes, including a trip to the team's factory, making it even more worthwhile for you to pick this one up while it's free.
Battle Zone ($1.99 -> Free): A tower defense game that features five different maps across three difficulty levels. Battle Zone's unique defense units actually upgrade themselves depending on the amount of damage they inflict, so you can place important units in high traffic areas to upgrade them quicker. Medals can also be used to add extra firepower to towers.
The game also features four different weapons to help you out in a pinch, and OpenFeint integration to provide leaderboards.
Battle Zone is free today only (3/27/10).
Piyo Blocks ($1.99 -> Free): A match-3 game with character and style. In Piyo Blocks you must match three like characters in order to remove them from the map. To move on to the next level you must match a certain number of each character. Matching more than three characters at a time will speed up the process.
The game also features three game modes, hundreds of levels, and OpenFeint integration to provide leaderboards and 25 unique achievements.
Piyo Blocks is available for free today only (3/27/10).
That's it for today, but you never know what tomorrow will bring.
