Your iPad Is Just Miles Away - Waiting For You To Break It Out

March 31, 2010

The wait for your iPad is getting intolerable? Frustrating? It's only about to get worse.

As I was reading about the customs trickeries Apple apparently uses to prevent its products from being delivered before launch date, I IM'd Trevor to inquire about the status of his own unit.

Quite unexpectedly, it took some advanced negotiation techniques and multiple tries to coerce our dear game reviewer to make this major effort that is pasting his tracking code into Google. He eventually accepted; only to discover that, starting tomorrow morning, his iPad will be no more than 10 miles away from him (screenshot above).

Unless this is a mistake, this means that iPads have already cleared customs and will be spending the rest of the week at your local UPS facilities.

He is, along with Robin, planning his UPS break as we speak and we'll be starting to raise money for their bail very shortly.

In the meantime, where is your iPad?
