Radio Flare Redux Lets You Shoot 'Em Up To The Music

March 4, 2010

Studio Radiolaris has given their music-based shoot 'em up the redux treatment in the just-released Radio Flare Redux. Radio Flare Redux is the follow-up title to Radio Flare, a side-scrolling shoot 'em up that has you blasting enemies to the music. Radio Flare Redux controls basically like the original, with your left thumb controlling the movements of your ship and the right controlling the targeting. Every aspect of Radio Flare Redux is tied to the techno, club, and house music playing in the background, so all of your enemies will be vanquished in tune.
"It was a great experience to collaborate with many different international musicians and DJs on the soundtrack for Radio Flare REDUX,” said Fares Kayali, producer at studio radiolaris. Martin Pichlmair, design overlord at studio radiolaris, continued, “We set out to make a music game that allows you to fly through music, to experience a song like you never did before.”
The game features 33 levels, music from internationally renowned DJs and dance artists, and achievements and leaderboards via Chillingo's Crystal social gaming network. Radio Flare Redux is now available in the App Store for $2.99.
