Silent Bodyguard is an app that works as a panic button in the event you find yourself in a dangerous situation where sending off a text or making a phone call isn't possible. By loading up the app and pressing a single button, you can alert your most important contacts with an SOS message containing your GPS location. The app will continue to broadcast updates on your location every 60 seconds to make sure help can find you.
Set up requires registering your device and entering in the phone number of one contact and up to three email addresses. The developers have created a discreet wrench icon to represent the app and a main page that depicts a simple image to give the impression of a photo viewer. After your emergency contacts are loaded, simply tapping the whistle icon at the bottom of the screen will activate the alarm and deliver your distress text and email messages.
The app will then proceed to deliver updates on your location status with broadcasts of your coordinates every 60 seconds. Of course, this can only be done with the app continued to be open with the iPhone's limit on background processes.
