Zen Bound 2 Coming to the iPad - Plus Screenshots

March 5, 2010

Earlier this week we gave you an interview with Jani Kahrama of Secret Exit, and today she provided us with some info regarding Zen Bound 2. The biggest news is that Zen Bound 2 will be coming to the iPad, and retooled to take full advantage of the device. The iPad's graphics engine is superior to any iPhone or iPod Touch, and Secret Exit is attempting to take full advantage. The game of wrapping wooden statues with rope will look even more magnificent on the larger screen. Not only that, but the surfaces of the wooden figures will be packed with fine detail, and the paint colors will be extremely vivid. Zen Bound is an amazing iPhone game, but even the best iPhone game still has the same issue of cramped screen space. Now the game will be on the iPad with the same outstanding control experience of manipulating a 3D object in 2D space. The UI is as simplistic as the zen ideal of the game to get out of the way, and add instant accessibility to any user, and readjusts itself based on how the device is held. The iPad version of Zen Bound 2 is a sequel, but also a revision to the original. There will be brand new levels of new wood figurines, and even new kinds of gameplay. There will also be upgraded iPad optimized versions of all the levels in the original game. The zen experience is enhanced by the wonderful music of Ghost Monkey. Zen Bound 2 will have a new soundtrack by Ghost Monkey, that can be sampled here. Zen Bound 2 is expected to be released close to the inital iPad launch we detailed this morning. No word on the iPhone release, but hopefully shouldn't be too far behind. Immerse yourself by clicking the full screen versions of the screenshots below of Zen Bound 2 running on the iPad simulator as well as comparisons to the iPhone version. This is definitely one more reason to pick up an iPad. [gallery link="file" columns="4"]
