Apple just released some official sales results for its second quarter 2010 which closed on March 27th. As usual, the iPhone is a huge success with 8.75 million units sold this last quarter through 151 carriers in 88 countries. This is twice as much as last year over the same period.
Furthermore, earning about $600 per handset, Apple is literally flooded by cash with a total $13.5 billion dollars in revenue through all its products. The App Store is also still a huge success with over 4 billion downloads to date and over 185,000 available iPhone apps and 3500 iPad apps.
As for the iPad, Apple says it's literally shocked by demand as we've heard and is stepping up the production now. They believe they will meet their latest deadlines, that is April 30th in the US for the iPad 3G and end of May for international launch.
