Augmented Driving App Brings Augmented Reality To Your Car

April 28, 2010

Augmented reality is hot, but most implementations we've seen so far are pretty much useless. Has it simply not found its right use yet? Maybe, but "Augmented driving" app's attempt to bring the idea to driving is just not it as well.

Indeed, the Augmented Driving app by imaGynze wants to help you drive in traffic by detecting surrounding cars, the lane you're in and providing you with some information in a sort of HUD, but I still can't see the point.

Alright, it might make you feel like you're in the batmobile, at least for a good 30 seconds. Check it out (youtube link):

Augmented Driving for iPhone 3GS only, goes for $2.99 now on the App Store.
