Come And Get Your Free Inkstrumental iPhone Wallpapers To Celebrate Its May 7th Launch

April 30, 2010

Inkstrumental has been in development for almost an entire year, but developer ustwo has finally spotted the light at the end of the tunnel and wants to celebrate by offering up 31 free iPhone and iPod touch wallpapers consisting of characters from the colorful music app.  But before you join in the celebration and start scrolling through the wallpapers in the gallery below, you may want to learn a bit more about the app. Inkstrumental is a creative musical app that features crazy and colorful artwork by the famous Jon Burgerman.  The app allows anyone to generate their own unique music, even those of us who are not musically gifted, by giving you a basic beat and having you add freaky sounds to it just by tapping on one of the many characters.  Each character features their own unique sound, and once you are aware which character produces which sound, you can start recording your mash-up. After you have created your masterpiece you can view characters performing your music on stage and upload it to YouTube to share your video with your friends and the rest of the world. Inkstrumental will be launching in the App Store on May 7th, and to celebrate the fact that it actually has a release date, the Jon Burgerman created characters from the app are available in wallpaper form (320x480) below for you to use as you please. To save a wallpaper using Mobile Safari on your iPhone or iPod touch, just tap on any of the images to launch it in a new window and then tap and hold on the image to bring up the "Save Image" function.  If you are running our AppAdvice app, just tap on the image to load it in a new window and then take a screenshot by holding in the power and home button at the same time.  Wallpapers will be saved to your camera roll.  Enjoy!
