Games To Download For Free: Robot Rampage, B-Boy Beats, And iStunt Reloaded
April 23, 2010
The end of the week iPhone game deals have struck again! If getting Dizzypad for free just wasn't enough, you can now grab Origin8's Robot Rampage, Tag Games' B-Boy Beats, and Profusion Studios' iStunt Reloaded for zero dollars as well.
Robot Rampage ($.99 -> Free): In Robot Rampage you get to become the evil menace terrorizing Earth. You control an atomic robot on a mission to flatten each and every city block in your path by unleashing devastating attacks using your feet, fists, and powerful weapons. Military forces will attempt to impede your progress, so you must try to defend yourself from every angle and go the furthest distance possible.
The game features only a single mode of play, but includes randomly generated levels and OpenFeint integration to add to the replayability.
Robot Rampage will be available for free through the weekend to celebrate the launch of Space Station: Frontier HD.
B-Boy Beats ($1.99 -> Free): A completely different take on the rhythm game genre. In B-Boy Beats your fingers are your feet, so you must allow them to groove to the funky 80's music. The controls do go against the grain, requiring you to keep your fingers on the screen more than off of it, which gives the game a bit of a steep learning curve, but in the end it is entirely worth it since the experience is so very unique.
The game features 10 break-dance moves to learn, two levels of difficulty with a fully interactive tutorial, 16 tracks, seven crews with their own turf to conquer, and OpenFeint integration.
B-Boy Beats is available for free today only (4/23). If you are a rhythm game fan, you absolutely have to download this one.
iStunt Reloaded ($.99 -> Free): An accelerometer and touch controlled 2D snowboarding game that will have you racing down mountains and performing crazy tricks. In the game you will be required to swipe down to crouch and up to make your snowboarder jump. While in the air you must tilt and turn your device to keep the board level to perform perfect landings. Tricks can be performed by tilting your device, but you must always be sure to get your board back under you, otherwise the game will be over.
iStunt has been free before, but we figured it was worth a mention considering it now carries the "Reloaded" tag. This version features a total of 30 levels, new objects, and zero gravity zones to mix up the gameplay.
iStunt Reloaded is available for free today only (4/23).
