IMing On Your iPad Looks Good With AIM For iPad

April 1, 2010

AIM for iPad is a completely redesigned interface for the iPad, and will be available for the launch of the iPad April 3rd. All of your im info is in one panel that is the entire iPad screen. Instead of having multiple tabs to reach your online buddies, chat windows, lifesteam, etc. it's all viewable at once. AIM is obviously supported, but in addition you can chat directly with facebook friends, and get updates from facebook, twitter, and youtube to name a few using lifestream. AIM is really pushing life stream, and this seems to best incarnation yet for it to really pick-up allowing you add up to 40 photos at once. The backgrounds are customizable, and you can send ims to mobile devices as an easy text message alternative. The app will be free April 3rd with no in app purchases, though price and screenshots are subject to change.
