The iPad home screen is pretty sparse with some seemingly standard stock apps not included. One noticeable omission is a weather app, but developers noticed it as well, and are scrambling to fill the void. VIMOV has an especially intriguing app called Weather HD which will be an iPad exclusive launching with the iPad App Store April 3rd.
We know the weather apps that give all the detailed numbers of temp, wind chill, highs and lows, with all kinds of radar maps. What about an app that showed you the weather using video rather than numbers and radar. Weather HD provides high definition video that describes the weather conditions visually.
If it's raining there's a beautiful video or rain, if it's partly cloudy at night the moon and clouds set in, and if it's simply sunny you see a field basking in sun. See the beautiful app in action in the trailer below:
