Smiles HD Looking Good For iPad and It's Free Now!

Smiles is a match three puzzle game that may be the best for the iPhone/iPod Touch. You swap out varying smiling characters to make matches of at least three. There is an action mode where new characters drop in, and a zen mode where you try to make matches of the whole board.
What's so special about the "HD" version? All the graphics are obviously at a higher resolution, but that's not all. You can rotate the playfield by physically turning the device, or easier with the new on screen buttons. The game also features numerous tweaks to fix any nagging problems since the launch of the iPhone version back in 2008 (that wasn't updated to not harm scores and stats of players).
Smiles HD is very similar to the netbook version the developer created, but obviously with a touch interface. Nearly every gameplay mode has been changed to better fit the iPad. A five track soundtrack is included, or of course you can listen to your own music.
The game is currently free for the iPad launch, so it will be free until midnight tomorrow. It will be $4.99 after that so if you ever want an iPad now is the time to get Smiles HD.
