Appigo's Todo Now Available For iPad At An Introductory Price

May 11, 2010

Appigo'sTodo for iPhone has been one of the most popular task management apps in the App Store since its launch in mid 2008 thanks to its general ease of use, pain-free syncing, and third-party app support, so it comes as no surprise that Appigo is trying to duplicate that success with the iPad version of Todo by including many of the same features inside of a shiny new interface. Todo for iPad is first and foremost about the experience. The app makes your iPad look and feel like a real-life daily planner, with clasping rings, paper inserts, pouches and the works.  All of the graphical touches don't come at a performance cost either as one might expect.  The app performs beautifully, with pages flipping and menus popping up in almost an instant.  This new design is not only aesthetically pleasing, however, it also makes navigation simple and logical.
"We're extremely pleased with how well the iPad brings to life Todo's new planner interface," said Calvin Gaisford, President and Co-founder, Appigo, Inc. "Holding Todo for iPad in your hand just as you would a daily planner is an incredible experience that gives you motivation to be productive."
As for Todo for iPad's feature set, it is based on the company's iPhone version, which basically means it has two years of customer feedback working for it.  Below is just a taste of what the app has to offer:
  • Sync with iCal, Outlook, Toodledo.com, RTM Pro
  • Task reminder alerts
  • Projects and Checklists (with subtasks)
  • Manual Sorting
  • Contact and Email Integration
  • Full Task Searching (including notes)
  • GTD Support with Contexts and Tags
  • Repeating Tasks
  • Quick Add Task Entry
  • Task Sharing via Email
  • TextExpander™ touch snippet expansion support
To celebrate the app's release, Appigo is currently offering Todo for iPad for only $4.99.  That's half the price of the iPhone version of the app.  Appigo isn't much for sales either, as the iPhone version has never gone below $9.99, so you may want to consider taking advantage of this offer before it's too late.  Appigo is also promising more features and more customization options via free updates, so there really isn't much to lose by being an early adopter.
