Apple Now Accepting Independent iBookstore Submissions

May 28, 2010

Good news for all you aspiring authors out there, Apple has now opened the doors of its iBookstore to (almost) everyone.

It's fairly simple, as long as you're can release your book in the ePub format, have a Mac, a US tax ID and some further administrative details, you can submit your book to Apple and it will be distributed through the iBookstore.

I believe it's a great opportunity for authors, and it seems much more flexible than music submissions as anyone can apparently apply with even a single book. If you think of all the potential customers you can reach this way, on the iPad and soon on the iPhone, this might have quite some success.

To get started, head over to http://itunes.com/sellyourbooks

Good luck.
