Apple, Let Non-US iPads Download Apps Already!
May 14, 2010
Let's face it, the iPad didn't wait for Apple to travel the world and thousands of units have already flown the country. For some obscure reason however, Apple is still preventing these from doing what they do best, download apps.
International iPad App Stores are due to launch in two weeks outside the US, along with the iPad. In the meantime, Apple requires all iPad users outside the US to make their app shopping through iTunes as the iPad App Store app is deactivated. It's very inconvenient and completely unjustified. In the end, this leaves users having to jailbreak and illegally download cracked apps, the only iTunes-less alternative.
Come on Apple, just flip the damn switch now. This is just reckless. Am I the only one here?
