Dizzypad HD Lands In The App Store For Free

After a short approval process hiccup, Nimblebit's Dizzypad HD, the iPad-optimized version of their hit frog leaping casual game, is now available in the App Store. Dizzypad HD for iPad features the same classic gameplay as the iPhone version, except it is in high resolution form. The game still requires you to tap anywhere on the screen to make your frog jump from spinning lily pad to spinning lily pad without falling into the water.  Well, at least the single included game mode does. The "Classic" game mode included in Dizzypad HD is actually available free.  However, there are three other game modes that are available as $1.99 in-app purchases.  The new game modes include:

• Sliders: A fun twist on the classic mode. Test your timing with pads that slide back and forth instead of rotating in place.
• Memory: Be a froggy matchmaker and test your memory by picking frog pairs. Guaranteed to sharpen your wits.
• Battle: Duke it out on the pond with a friend in this 2 player mode! Try your best to gobble each other up until your frog grows the largest.

Nimblebit chose this in-app purchase route to allow you to obtain the game modes you want most without having to pay for anything extra.  The best part is that if you don't want any of the new game modes, you get to play Dizzypad on your iPad for free. So what are you waiting for?  Start lily pad leaping as soon as possible, because there are 30 unlockable frogs to obtain.  They won't unlock themselves.
