Today's list is sadly iPad app-free, but there are still a few great games that have gone free for you iPhone and iPod touch users.
PandaMania ($3.99 -> Free): A castle defense game with a panda archer as the main character.
The game requires you to fire arrows at the oncoming forces in order to defend your castle. Firing arrows is as simple as tapping and dragging from your character towards the enemies. The further you drag your finger away, the further the arrows fly. As you progress you gain coins that can be used to beef up your castle's defenses or upgrade your weapons.
The game features 50 levels, five environments, boss battles, and OpenFeint integration.

World Cup Air Hockey ($.99 -> Free): Developer Skyworks' take on air hockey.
It's the classic game of air hockey, what more needs to be said? Paddles are controlled via the tip of your finger. You can choose to practice against the AI, take on all AI controlled opponents in tournament mode, or go head-to-head against a friend on the same device.
The game also features local and global leaderboards.

Pala Match ($.99 -> Free):A tile matching puzzle game that features adorable characters known as "Palas."
The idea of the game is simple. Match all of the tiles two at a time until the level has been cleared. Tiles can only be matched in four different ways, which is relatively simple at first but becomes progressively more difficult as more tiles are thrown into the mix. To add to your troubles, you only have a limited amount of time to clear each level.
The game feature 48 levels, 217 Palas with a unique sound for each one, and a hint function.
