Today's list features three iPhone games that are free for the first time ever, while the fourth is a classic that has been free before but is still worthy of a mention.
Paracute ($.99 -> Free): Another adorable 2D pixelated graphics game from Donut Games.
In the game you are tasked with navigating a teddy bear through caves in order to collect hearts so you can propose to your teddy bear girlfriend. Hearts are scattered all around, and the larger the heart the more points you receive, but you must avoid touching the walls at all costs, otherwise it's game over. Controlling your parachuting teddy bear can be done via either touch or tilt.
The game features 30 caves to explore, a star ranking system, power-ups, and global leaderboards.
Paracute is free for a limited time.
Burning Zombies Extended (Free): A newly launched but free game that has you defending your home from invading zombies.
The game requires you to simply touch and drag a line from either corner of the screen in order to throw molotov cocktails at the approaching zombies. The zombie waves never stop, but you can deploy a napalm strike by spending a little bit of the cash you earned to get things back in order if the screen becomes overrun with zombies.
The game features unlimited replayability and OpenFeint integration.
Burning Zombies Extended is available for free for a limited time. Thanks to niezam for the tip!
Chokoblok ($.99 -> Free): A 3D puzzle game based off of
Bloxorz.
In the game you must move a 3D rectangle from one end of the level to the other as quickly as possible without allowing it to fall off of the edge. It sounds simple, but the more advanced levels require you to tilt the rectangle up on its side in order to travel over tight spots. To top it off, there are also pressure tiles which can fall away and alter the board.
The game features a beginner and advanced mode and 35 unique levels.
Chokoblok is available for free today only (5/24).
Crush the Castle ($.99 -> Free): A physics-based game that requires you to fling various types of ammo via a trebuchet at all kinds of different castles in order to crush them.
Launching the trebuchet is simple. Just tap the screen once to initiate the motion, and tap again to release your ammo. Each castle is set up differently, but hitting it in the sweet spot will make the whole thing come tumbling down.
The game features 10 different ammo types, 90 levels, a castle editor, achievements, and awards.
Crush the Castle is available for free today only (5/5). This one has been free before, but it's worthy of a mention.
Hopefully one of these free games can get you over your Lost hangover.
