2XL TrophyLite Rally Hits The App Store
June 10, 2010
It took a little longer than expected, but 2XL Games was finally able to get their new rally racer, 2XL TrophyLite Rally, into the App Store.
2XL TrophyLite Rally is based on the General Tire TophyLite Race Series and features real-world events. Instead of just re-skinning one of their earlier games, however, the team decided to rework the physics engine to give the game a more rally-like feel, which allows you to power-slide around corners and the works. It also ups the ante in the graphics department.
In 2XL TrophyLite Rally you are able to race with one of the 31 included TrophyLite trucks in 15 different races, including circuits, rallies, and stages. The career mode is being described as "massive," with loads of achievements, the ability to upgrade your vehicles, and even the ability to earn real-life rewards.
If going at it alone isn't your thing, you can take on a friend head-to-head via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, or you can view leaderboards and compare statistics with other players in the rather large 2XL community.
The game also features the now-expected multiple control schemes, first- and third-person camera views, responsive tilt controls, and adjustable difficulty levels.
2XL TrophyLite Rally is now available in the App Store for $7.99. According to 2XL Games, an iPad version is also in the works.
