Apple Releases Its Rumored Apple Store App
Confirming yesterday's rumor, Apple has just released a native Apple Store iPhone app.
Called Apple Store, the app allows you to browse Apple's entire online store and all of its products, read reviews, place orders or pre-orders and also locate Apple Stores near you. More interestingly, it includes functionality that allows users to schedule Apple Store appointments for the Genius Bar, One-to-One or Personal Shopping directly from their iPhone.
Here is the official feature list:
- See new and featured products from Apple. - Shop the full selection of products available from the Apple Online Store. - Find the latest accessories and software. - Read customer reviews and get answers to product questions. - Buy or reserve a new iPhone with just a few taps. - Locate any Apple Retail Store in the world, instantly. - Make Personal Shopping, Genius Bar, and One to One appointments. - Sign up for workshops and events at your favorite Apple Retail Store.
The launch of the app comes at a difficult time for Apple as the iPhone 4 launch seems to be stressing Apple's servers, making the app virtually unusable at the moment. The app is for the US only for now.
