Geometry Wars: Touch Gets iPhone And iPod Touch Support, Price Slashed In Half

June 18, 2010

Activision didn't have a booth on the E3 show floor -- although they did throw a massive pre-E3 party -- but they did make an impact on gamers this week by giving their popular iPad game, Geometry Wars: Touch, iPhone and iPod touch support.  To sweeten the deal, the company also slashed the price of the game in half. Geometry Wars: Touch is based off of the critically acclaimed Xbox 360 game, Geometry Wars Retro Evolved 2.  In both iPhone and iPad versions of the game you control your ship via two on-screen joysticks.  The left controls your ship's movement while the right controls the direction of fire.  Each of the six game modes -- deadline, king, pacifism, evolved, waves, and sequence -- offers a different style of play that will keep you entertained for hours on end. The game also features Bluetooth multiplayer that allows you to play with iPhone and iPad toting friends, online leaderboards, and achievements. When Geometry Wars: Touch first launched for the iPad it was priced at $9.99, but now that it is a universal app Activision decided to slash the price in half.  It's now only $4.99.
