Well, after downloading the iOS 4 GM edition, a nice little surprise showed up: there's a new folder design! When you open an app folder, the background behind the apps is a thread-like pattern. This is different than the other betas, which had a dimpled, metallic look. I have to admit, the new design does look incredibly slick. Now wouldn't it be great if Apple allowed us to choose the background behind the apps from a selection of pre-sets? There's some food for thought (and some wishful thinking)!
Update: Sorry, guys, I never got to play with Beta 3 or 4. This is not a new update, but don't worry, I'll keep looking!
