iPhone And iPad Games Gone Free: iBlast Moki, Goaaal!, And Tapster
June 13, 2010
Even iPhone and iPad app developers must be knee-deep in World Cup coverage, because apps that have gone free are few and far between. Still, we at least have a few gems to inform you about, including the award-winning iBlast Moki.
iBlast Moki ($.99 -> Free): A physics-based puzzle game where you must get your character from one end of the level to the other by using the limited tools at your disposal. The game features adorable graphics, realistic physics, 85 levels, seven worlds, a level editor with the ability to share your own levels online, and Plus+ integration.
iBlast Moki is available for free today only (6/13). It has a three-and-a-half-star rating.
Goaaal! ($.99 -> Free): A penalty kicking mini-game developed by Skyworks. The idea is to simply get the ball in the goal by flicking your finger. You can add spin to the ball by flicking at an angle, and it can be repositioned before the kick by tapping and holding on it. The game features two modes of play, and local and online leaderboards.
Goaaal! is available for free for a limited time to celebrate the beginning of the World Cup. It has a three-and-a-half-star rating.
Universal:
Tapster ($.99 -> Free): A simple reaction game where you must pop the endless amount of balls that appear on the screen. The game features two different modes of play, one where you are required to keep tapping until too many balls are sucked into the void, and where you are penalized for missed taps, and the other where you must simply tap as many balls as you can in a limited amount of time. The game also features OpenFeint integration.
Tapster is available for free for an undisclosed amount of time. It has a four-star rating.
