Pac-Man Gets A Match-3 Makeover In Pac-Match Party

Back when Pac-Man was busy celebrating his 30th birthday, we informed you that a new Pac-Man themed match-3 game was in the works for the iPhone and iPod touch that would be based off of the flash game available at Namco's website. Well, that game is now available as Pac-Match Party. Pac-Match Party takes the tried and true match-3 mechanic and adds a little Pac-Man flair.  The game features 30 levels where you will be required to match three or more pieces in order to keep moving Pac-Man around the edge of the screen.  If you fail to match pieces quickly enough, the ghosts will catch up to you.  Completing levels is done by matching pieces over the top of the level number tiles in the background. The game also features a variety of different power-ups that can be used by simply dragging them out of the item bar and onto the playing field.  Power-ups consists of things like row and column removers, item randomizers, and even the ability to change the pieces into blue ghosts and have Pac-Man go ghost chomping.  Pac-Match Party also contains tons of different achievements and a local leaderboard. Pac-Match Party is now available in the App Store for $1.99.
