Palm Guru Returns to Apple
June 10, 2010
Palm's ranks are getting thinner by the day. It has been announced that one of the architects of the webOS, Rich Dellinger, is heading to Apple. As Steve Jobs' newest Senior UI Designer at Apple, Dellinger will likely be charged with adding some cool features and updating a few others on future iPhone versions.
One of Dellinger's most important successes at Palm was creating the webOS's brilliant and unintrusive banner notification system. His exit follows that of Matias Duarte who left Palm after its recent takeover by HP to head to Google as its User Experience Director for Android. Dellinger worked for Apple from 1999 to 2006 before heading to Palm and his hiring is certainly a positive one for Apple. You can following Dellinger's Twitter account here.
