Pandora Updated With Background Audio Streaming

The inevitable has just occurred. Pandora, the popular free music streaming app for iPhone and iPad, has just been given backgrounding support, allowing users to finally play their favorite music even after they have pressed that home button.
Of all of the apps that were in need of this highly sought after ability, Pandora would have to rank at or near the top of the list. Before this update, and before iOS 4, users were required to leave the app open, which isn't exactly convenient when it comes to listening to streaming music. Now with Pandora v3.1, users will be able to close out of the app and use their devices freely without killing the stream.
Pandora v3.1 is now available in the App Store for free. If you already have it installed, just click that update button. You will need iOS 4 to actually utilize the new ability, so hopefully Apple will be releasing that as well relatively shortly.
