My Strange Journey To Super Walmart...

June 24, 2010

I awoke this morning and started the day knowing that I hadn't pre-ordered an iPhone 4.  Realizing this, I nonetheless made a trip to the local Super Walmart to see if I could find success and get my hands on one of Apple's latest masterpieces. However, I wasn't expecting what I soon found.

As I arrived at Walmart's electronics department I saw no signs announcing the new iPhone 4, nor did I see anyone forming a line to get one.  In fact, the only proof that I saw that the store even sold iPhones was an old dilapidated  iPhone 3GS display, lacking any actual display units. Thinking that I had struck out, I asked the very lonely clerk if the new iPhone 4 was available.  To my surprise, the store received just one iPhone 4 and it was available for purchase.  After about 15 minutes of filling out the necessary forms, I purchased the only iPhone 4 available in the Greater State College, Pennsylvania area (at a Walmart anyway) and went on my way. So for those that are upset about long lines and exhausted inventories, perhaps you should drive to your local Walmart and see if you can get the one iPhone available for purchase. We are interested in hearing about your experiences when attempting to buy an iPhone 4 today.  Please leave us your comments about your good (or bad) shopping trips to get your new iPhone 4.
