Glu's intentions for making the original Build-a-Lot free for a limited time are much more clear now.  They simply wanted to get you hooked on the idea of becoming a real estate mogul before allowing you to become the ultimate entrepreneur with their new title, Build-a-Lot 2: Town of the Year. Build-a-Lot 2: Town of the Year uses the same formula employed in the original title, only it kicks it up a couple of notches. This time around you will have new mayors to meet, new towns to explore, new houses to choose from-- villas, farmhouses and bungalows, new special buildings -- recycling centers, parks and workshops, and new businesses that when built, will help you earn even more money. Purchase older houses, paint and landscape them, and flip them to earn big money and "Curb Appeal."  You can also achieve goals to generate more income, and cast your vote for "Town of the Year" in campaign mode.  If you don't feel like doing all of the dirty work, you can always take part in improving neighborhoods at your own pace in casual mode.
