Fruit Ninja HD Ripe And Ready For The iPad

July 12, 2010

To say Halfbrick Studios has had a hit on their hands with Fruit Ninja for iPhone would be an understatement.  The fruit slicing, juice flinging casual game has received stellar ratings from everyday gamers and reviewers alike, and  has sold well over one million copies since its release in April of this year.  In order to not leave iPad gamers out of the juicy fun, the developers have crafted a special version of the game that will be hitting the App Store on July 14th, only two days from now.  To get you large screen lovers excited for its impending release, Halfbrick Studios has provided us with gameplay video and some details for Fruit Ninja HD. Fruit Ninja HD will feature high-resolution and silky smooth graphics that will make even the biggest fruit haters out there crave some juicy goodness.  Since this is an iPad game we are talking about, you will be able to use up to eight fingers at once, giving you the ability to slash fruit like a true ninja warrior.  Adding to the new will be a two-player multiplayer mode, where you will be able to compete head-to-head in two different gameplay modes -- classic attack and zen duel -- on the same device. The game will also feature two single player game modes, OpenFeint integration and continuous support with free content updates just like the iPhone version. Fruit Ninja HD will be hitting the App Store on July 14th for $4.99.
