Inkvaders HD Invades The App Store

Chillingo has brought the fight for humanity to the iPad in Inkvaders HD, a higher resolution version of the publisher's popular side-scrolling shooter.
Inkvaders HD is a side-scrolling shooter that features eye-popping hand-drawn 1950s inspired graphics that can be gory at times yet somewhat amusing. The game takes you across 30 levels and three different environments as you take on countless aliens who are trying to wipe out mankind. As you progress through the game, you will discover different and more powerful weapons that can be upgraded. You can also deploy your trusty jet pack to evade enemy fire.
Inkvaders HD only differs from its iPhone counterpart ever-so-slightly. Besides the upgraded graphics, the only other real difference is the use of Chillingo's own Crystal social network to provide leaderboards and achievements instead of Agon Online.
If you have already enjoyed the game on your iPhone or iPod touch, Inkvaders HD doesn't offer much more. But, of course, if you haven't experienced this cartoony shooter yet, it will be a perfect fit for your iPad gaming collection.
