iOS 3.2.1 Update Now Available For iPad, Improves Wi-Fi Connectivity

July 15, 2010

Apple is squashing bugs all over the place today.  Shortly after installing the newly-released iOS 4.0.1 update on my iPhone, I decided to connect my iPad to install some new apps and sure enough, an iOS update was available for that as well.  iOS 3.2.1 contains quite a few more fixes and improvements than iOS 4.0.1 did, including a Wi-Fi connectivity improvement. iOS 3.2.1 for iPad includes:
  • Improved Wi-Fi connectivity
  • Fixed an issue that could prevent copy and paste of single-page PDF attachments in Mail
  • Addressed an issue that could cause video playback to freeze
  • Improved reliability of video-out when using iPad Dock Connector to VGA Adapter
  • Added Bing as an option for Safari’s search field
The update is available for both Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + 3G iPads. So iPad owners, after installing the most recent update, let us know if your Wi-Fi connectivity issues have gone away in the comments section below.
