iPhone And iPad Apps Gone Free: Cat Physics, Tap Trace Pro, Achtung And More

Today's rather long list features a total of 13 apps that have gone free. Two of the apps are by the casual gaming king, Donut Games. We also have a device finding app for both iPhone and iPad.
Birdie In Trouble ($1.99 -> Free): A platforming puzzle game where your little birdie must jump on each leaf before reaching the exit. Some leaves have special abilities and will make your birdie do things that are out of your control. The game features 75 levels, and OpenFeint integration.

Buttonia ($.99 -> Free): A brain-teasing puzzle game where you must flip all of the pieces before time expires. Each piece, when touched, will flip other pieces around it depending on the number of sides it has. Pieces that have already been flipped will flip over again if the puzzle is done incorrectly. The game features 150 levels, an interactive tutorial, shake to reset, swipe for hints, and OpenFeint integration.

I Love Traffic ($.99 -> Free): Based on the original flash game, I Love Traffic simply requires you to toggle traffic lights from red to green in order to keep it moving. You have a limited amount of time to successfully get a specific number of vehicles through the intersections without crashing. The game features 40 levels, medals to earn, and stat tracking.

Afterwing 3D ($.99 -> Free): A dog fighting game with accelerometer controls. Sure, the graphics may not be the best, but piloting your ship and taking down bogeys has never been easier. The game features four worlds with multiple levels, the ability to unlock additional weapons, and OpenFeint integration.

Gravitation Defense ($.99 -> Free): An Earth defense game where you must survive as long as possible by keeping the 10 different types of threats out of the atmosphere. The game features two modes of play, 30 unique levels, six types of power-ups, and OpenFeint integration.

Castle Smasher ($.99 -> Free): A boulder launching game by Donut Games. Fire boulders from your catapult in order to completely destroy the castles. You can change the angle of your shot and the power. The game features three modes of play, which totals more than 50 levels, upgradeable boulders, and global leaderboards.

Cat Physics ($.99 -> Free): A physics game by Donut Games where you must pass the ball from one cat to the other by placing arrows. Obstacles are scattered all over the place to impede your progress. The game features 50 levels, rankings for each level, and global leaderboards.

Little Buddha's 39,000 Quotes ($.99 -> Free): An inspirational app that features over 39,000 quotes. Rub Buddha's belly to reveal a random quote or search for your own. You can keep quotes as favorites, add your own, and share them with friends via email, Twitter, or Facebook.

Tap Trace Pro ($1.99 -> Free): Helps you recover your lost iPhone by allowing you to send a message to your device, and when the finder opens the message, the app will attempt to contact the companies server and send information about its location. The information is then made available to the owner of the device. The finder also has the ability to send a message back. This version features multitasking.

Dungeon Solitaire ($1.99 -> Free): In this unique card game, you must carefully place the creatures, heroes, and dungeon rooms to stop the monstrous invasion. Draw a card, place it down, and hope you don't get eaten by the oozes, tunnel goblins, and dragons that inhabit the dark. The game features 70 hand-illustrated cards, expansion decks, and OpenFeint integration.

iPad only:
Achtung ($1.99 -> Free): A simple yet amazingly addictive multiplayer game that plays just like Tron's lightbike. Control your glow worm using the two arrows in the corner of the screen and race around without running into a wall, another glow worm, or your own. Be the last one standing to win. Features customizable rounds, slow, normal, or fast gameplay, and up to four-player multiplayer. This game doesn't contain AI, however, so you can't play alone.
Achtung is available for free until August 1st. It has a four-and-a-half-star rating, and a total of six ratings.
Tap Trace HD ($2.99 -> Free): Like the iPhone version above, only this one doesn't feature multitasking since the iPad's iOS doesn't allow it at this time.
