How To: Jailbreak iOS 4
July 29, 2010
With iOS 4 out, you are probably wishing you had good old Cydia back, and finding the right tools to jailbreak an iOS device has always been a tad frustrating. However, fear not, AppAdvice is here to help with all of your jailbreaking needs. To jailbreak, you will need an iPhone 3G or an iPod touch 2nd Gen (non-MC model). The iPhone 3GS and iPod touch 2nd Gen (MC model) are supposedly jailbreakable with sn0wbreeze 1.798 on Windows, however I can neither confirm nor deny this.
What You'll Need
- An iPhone 3G or iPod touch 2nd Gen (The model ID cannot start with MC)
- redsn0w 0.9.5b5-5 (You'll have to Google it)
- Stock iOS 4.0 Firmware
- Any iDevice
- A mobile internet connection on your iDevice
