SimCity Gets The Deluxe Treatment, Now Available In The App Store

SimCity Deluxe is basically what the original SimCity for iPhone and iPod touch should have been, which is bound to generate a lot of anger and frustration for those who purchased it way back when.
The game features an improved UI with larger buttons and better overall flow to allow easy access to the most crucial items. EA took their time enhancing the visuals in this latest Sim title as well, giving it a more SimCity 4-like style. My personal favorite addition has to be modifiable terrain, which finally allows you to change your city's landscape with the touch of your finger. SimCity Deluxe also features seven scenarios and seven starter cities, and four seasons that are linked to seasonal disasters, giving you even more ways to tear down what you built up.
If you are new to SimCity on your iPhone or iPod touch, SimCity Deluxe certainly delivers, although the $6.99 price feels a tad steep. Those of you who already own the original SimCity, however, will have to do some hard thinking to see just how dedicated you are to the franchise.
