The first method is very practical and easy, although it does not make your iPhone a true white iPhone. Your iPhone may look white, but it will still remain black underneath. Gelaskins sells decals for the front and the back of your iPhone. The site allows you to upload your own images and they will make you custom decals. Simply design a decal that looks like a white iPhone 4 and order it from Gelaskins (just like TUAW's in the photo on the right). Since no one has released their image files for a similar decal, anyone wanting to order custom decals will have to design their own.
The second method will require some money, time, and effort, but will fully transform your iPhone 4 into the white version. WhiteiPhone4Now.com is selling a DIY White iPhone 4 Kit for "only" $229 including free US shipping. The kit includes the following: iPhone 4 Retina Display, White Front Panel, White Back Cover, White Home Button, White Digitizer, and White Front Panel Support Frame. As the kit name implies, it is a DIY (Do It Yourself) kit. For an extra $54 + shipping you can send your iPhone 4 and the previously mentioned kit to BrokeMyiPhone.com and they will assemble it for you. Overall, the kit will definitely save you money compared to sites like CNN.cn, where buying all the needed parts would cost well over $500.
Although these methods are great, is a few weeks too long to wait for the real thing? The Gelaskins are perfect if you just can't wait any longer, but the DIY kit is still a bit too much for me personally. What will you be doing?
