Zen Bound 2 Receives A Price Drop In Anticipation Of Its Universal Update
July 14, 2010
Normally developers create an iPhone app and then eventually add iPad support down the line, but with Zen Bound 2, Secret Exit is doing the reverse. Secret Exit has informed us that an update to Zen Bound 2, an iPad-only game, has been submitted to Apple which will add iPhone and iPod touch support, among a few other items. The app has also received a price drop in anticipation of the update.
After the impending universal update is released, Zen Bound 2 will support every single iDevice out there running iOS 3.1 or later. It will also take full advantage of the graphics hardware in all 3rd generation or newer devices. iPhone 4 gamers are in for an even greater treat, as Zen Bound 2 will take advantage of the device's built-in gyro sensor and Retina display.
Zen Bound 2 is a graphical marvel that's more of an experience than a game. The idea is to spin a 3D wooden object with your fingers every which way in order to wrap a given amount of rope around it, which covers the object in paint. To move on to the next object, you are required to cover the current one with a specific percentage of paint. The game features over 100 levels, an original soundtrack and, of course, amazing graphics. You can check out our in-depth review of the iPad version to learn more.
Zen Bound 2 was formerly priced at $7.99, but is now only $2.99 in anticipation of the update. If you wind up really enjoying the music within the game, Secret Exit is offering the entire soundtrack for free on their website.
