Annihilate The Mugat2 On Your iPad With Pocket Devil HD
August 13, 2010
Eyedip's controversial and yet devilishly entertaining Pocket God clone, Pocket Devil, has arrived in the App Store for the iPad. Today, appropriately, is Friday the 13th, so you can be sure that the Mugat2's luck isn't going to get any better even on Apple's magical large screen device.
Pocket Devil HD is a higher resolution and texture rich version of the iPhone game it is based off of. In the game you can summon hordes of devilish underlings called "The Mugat2," and annihilate them in some seriously fiendish ways.“The app is just viciously addictive. It’s highly entertaining, funny and customizable to your own malevolent intentions,” says Jeremy Adelman, co-founder of Eyedip. “On the iPad it’s even more visually stunning. Players have a better view of the mayhem they are causing.”Located on the right-hand side of the screen is a scrollable list of items that can be used to torture the Mugat2, some of which include napalm, spikes and pitchforks. You can also deploy much more messy instruments of death like a paper shredder, electric chair and guillotine. Gameplay isn't limited to simply torturing the Mugat2, however. Pocket Devil HD also features mini games where you can skate a halfpipe, or try to slap as many Mugat2s as you can whack-a-mole-style in 60 seconds. If you decide to give up your evil ways for a moment, you can even send the Mugat2 off to heaven. The game features OpenFeint integration, allowing you to share the high scores you have obtained in the mini-games, or compare achievements. Pocket Devil HD will also be receiving consistent updates, just like the iPhone version, so you should never run out of things to do. Speaking of the iPhone version, Eyedip is giving it away for free today and today only to celebrate the launch of Pocket Devil HD. Check it out on today's "Apps Gone Free." Pocket Devil HD is now available in the App Store for $2.99.
