AppFresh Daily: The Best Apps Approved In The Last 24 Hours
August 10, 2010
As you know, there are plenty of new apps hitting the App Store every day (about 600/day lately). We normally get around to picking up the most interesting ones for you. But, we can’t cover everything and many good apps slip through the cracks. While they’re probably not the next Doodle Jump or Shazam, these apps can be lots of fun, very useful or both. I’m going to try to catch little gems now, and hopefully daily. We’re calling it Appfresh:
Linkinus for iPhone by Conceited Software is the iPhone version of the great Mac IRC client. I don't know if many of you still use IRC these days, but if you do, I guess you've got yourself a client here. It goes for $2.99.
Nebulous Notes by Nuclear Elements (Universal) allows you to edit text files in the Dropbox cloud. Christine quickadviced it last night so go check out her review to find out more. It goes for $.99.
Dude, Where's my car? by Jeff Enderwick (iPhone) is a dead simple free app to help you find your car. It saves your car's GPS position and lets you take a picture of it for later. That's it, just what you need and completely free.
Never miss: birthdays, anniversaries and dates (With Push) by Jonathan Tebul (iPhone) is a simple reminder app powered by iOS 4 local notifications. That means, it won't need an internet connection to remind you of any event, or anniversary. It goes for $.99.
Tuition Tab by Logan Moore (iPhone) is a powerful little app that keeps track of how much of your time/money your teachers are wasting. Check out Tyler's post to find out more about it and maybe win a copy. I just love the concept. Goes for $.99.
Gigkick by Anthony Herron (iPhone) "will locate gigs in the city you're in on that day.
It will also connect to your Songkick profile to display your upcoming gigs." It's free.
Photoburst by Wasobe (iPhone) is an action camera that allows you to take up to 10 pictures per second on your iPhone. Looks like a fun toy app.
Goes for $.99
Premail2 by Aerious (Universal) will "Prepare and send emails and text messages by entering only a few words at a time using a range of pre-supplied templates, or create your own." If you send a lot of emails like me, this could save you a lot of time. A bit pricey though at $3.99.
iFTPEdit by Codepunk Software (universal) lets you upload/download files from a FTP server and edit files directly on the server.
It goes for $1.99.
Caloricious (iPhone) will tell you whether the food you're buying is bad for you or not. Goes for $2.99
That's it for the last 24 hours. Did we miss anything? Share it with us in the comments.
