AppFresh Daily: The Very Best Apps Approved In The Last 24 Hours

As you know, there are plenty of new apps hitting the App Store every day (about 600/day lately). We normally get around to picking up the most interesting ones for you. But, we can’t cover everything and many good apps slip through the cracks. While they’re probably not the next Doodle Jump or Shazam, these apps can be lots of fun, very useful or both. I’m going to try to catch little gems now, and hopefully daily. We’re calling it Appfresh:
TBS (iPhone) is the official app of the TBS TV channel. It allows you to watch some video clips and schedules of your favorite TBS shows. It's free TNT (iPhone) is the official app of the TNT TV channel. You know the drill. It's free. Tap Video (iPhone) is a very feature-rich video and still camera. It features things like RAW support, a timer and even Flickr upload. On top of that, it's free. Twistroulette by AXE (iPhone) is a promotional app made by the deodorant maker. It's some sort of truth or dare game that consists of making your iPhone spin. It's free. No More Mosquitoes (iPhone) claims it can get rid of mosquitoes by simulating a sound similar to "the sexual recall of the male mosquito, causing repulsion to the already fertilized female mosquitoes, the only which are able to bite"[sic]. It comes with multitasking and it's free. DeviceInfo + (iPad) is a simple battery and device monitor. It tells you how much reading or playing time you have left on the battery and also gives memory (RAM and Disc) usage information. It goes for $2.99 Times for iPad by Acrilic Software is yet another new RSS reader that presents your feeds like a magazine. It's getting quickadviced by Christine as we speak, so check back with us later for some more details. It's priced at $7.99 Spottr (universal) lets you "search and discover the most useful services nearby, or around any place you choose." Looks powerful and well, it's free. iLocalChatroom (iPhone) lets you create a local chatroom between a couple of iDevices over Wi-Fi, for free. TumbleIt (iPad) lets you "view and browse through all your tumbelogs. You can like or re-blog to your heart contents."[sic] Goes for $.99 Wikipedia Offline for iPad is a Wikipedia reader that downloads the Wikipedia text to your device (takes about 25MB) for offline access. Goes for $8.99 The Dealmap (iPhone) gives you a map of your surroundings and overlays it with all the good deals. It's free. Groupshare (iPhone) allows you to connect two iDevices together remotely (3G included) and share files and position. Goes for $1.99 That’s it for today folks. Did we miss anything?
