Footage: Blogger Challenges World Texting Speed Record Using iPhone 4
August 26, 2010
Just in case you still believe (or know someone who does) that typing on an iPhone on-screen keyboard is any slower than on a physical one or using swype, here is something to set the record straight.
After seeing the previous texting record beaten on a Samsung using a Swype keyboard, tech Blogger Brian Sweet of Gumball Tech reportedly gave it a shot on his own. The challenge, consisting of typing "the razor-toothed piranhas of the genera Serrasalmus and Pygocentrus are the most ferocious freshwater fish in the world. In reality they seldom attack a human" took him less than 22 seconds on his iPhone 4, he claims, improving the world record of an entire 4 seconds.
He filmed it for us to enjoy, so check it out:
Impressed? Or do you think you can do even better?
