Gameprom's Hit iPad Game 'Pinball HD' Comes To The iPhone
August 9, 2010
Gameprom's original three pinball games for the iPhone -- Wild West Pinball, The Deep Pinball, and Jungle Style Pinball -- were brought over to the iPad shortly after the device's launch in April in the form of Pinball HD, and now the three tables have been brought back to the iPhone in that same combined form in Pinball HD 4 iPhone. Pinball fans, we have come full circle.
Pinball HD 4 iPhone is just like its iPad counterpart, only with Retina-optimized graphics for you iPhone 4 owners out there. It features the same three tables, touch-screen paddle controls, online leaderboards, realistic physics, orientation-based camera control, and even local multiplayer. The three multiplayer games are: Blitz Scoring, which requires you to be the first to a specific number of points; Quests, which requires you to complete a table-specific objective; and Blitz Timed, which is just like Blitz Scoring, only time-based.
All of this may sound appealing to those of you who are new to Gameprom's pinball games, but those who have already dropped $3 to obtain each of the tables separately are likely not too happy about this new release considering those separate tables still lack Retina support and multiplayer. Hopefully Gameprom addresses this discrepancy via future updates, although we're not so sure that will happen.
Pinball HD 4 iPhone is now available in the App Store for $1.99. It's only compatible with the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, and third-gen iPod touch.
