Halfbrick's Barry Steakfries Dashing Into The App Store On August 19th

August 9, 2010

Halfbrick Studios, best known in the App Store universe for developing the juicy Fruit Ninja, have revealed a brand new game that will be making its way to the iPhone and iPod touch, Monster Dash. It will star Barry Steakfries, a lovable and quite awesomely named character that previously graced the developer's hit PSP Mini title, Age of Zombies. In Monster Dash, you will be in control of Barry Steakfries, a man on a mission to save the world from evil monsters.  The game will be a side-scrolling affair that will have you running and jumping through portals while blasting monsters in tons of different locations. Steakfries runs on his own, so you will only be using two buttons, jump and shoot.  But that doesn't mean the action won't be fierce.  Monsters like mummies, demons, and vampires will be attacking you from every angle, and you will have to utilize your weapons and the many unique power-ups in order to survive for as long as possible.  By doing so, you will be able to climb the OpenFeint leaderboards. Monster Dash will be hitting the App Store Thursday, August 19th.  A price has yet to be announced. Check out the live-action trailer for Monster Dash below.
