Homerun Battle 3D Receives Retina Support, Reaches A Milestone

Com2uS has two exciting pieces of news to share today with fans of their home run hitting arcade game, Homerun Battle 3D. First off, the game finally sports Retina-optimized graphics; and second, over 60 million home run battle match-ups have taken place since the game launched in mid 2009.
Homerun Battle 3D launched on June 17th, 2009 to rave reviews from fans and reviewers alike. The game was applauded for its casual yet addictive nature, and also because of its finely tuned combination of accelerometer and touch controls. The game's well-executed online battle mode definitely didn't hurt either. In fact, the online portion of the game seems to be what's driving its success a year and a half later.
Homerun Battle 3D recently exceeded the 60 million online match-up mark. Not only that, more than 1 million accounts have been created since that same time, although we should point out that accounts can't be recovered, so if you add the game to a new device, you must create a new account. This may skew the results a bit, but it's still a massive number no matter how you look at it.
According to Com2uS, gamers have launched the app around 50 times on average, and have used the match-up mode 220 times over a period of 70 days, which has apparently resulted in over 480 million minutes of time in online match-ups.
Com2uS has helped add to the numbers in the last few months by not only releasing an iPad version of Homerun Battle 3D, but by making it available to Android users as well. The best part is is that Homerun Battle 3D players are able to compete against each other even on these totally different platforms.
I can honestly say I contributed to those online match-up total, mostly in the past, but I intend to add to them once again now that the game looks much better on my iPhone 4. How about you?
