Dark Nebula - Episode One ($.99 -> Free): It has been called labyrinth on steroids, but we like to call it the best adventure-based labyrinth game ever. The game takes place in an industrial setting with gorgeous graphics, and you will be navigating your character to the end of each level using finely tuned tilt controls. You will encounter traps, sliding objects spikes and narrow pathways on your journey. The game features 10 levels, two difficulty settings and Facebook integration.

Flipstones ($.99 -> Free): Draw a path from one stone to other like-colored stones in order to form a triangle, or even better, a six-piece hexagon, which will score you more points. When a shape has been formed, it can be tapped to remove it from the playing field and unleash its special power. The game features 18 stages, over 80 levels, two modes of play and OpenFeint integration.

Starship Defense ($4.99 -> Free): Basically, castle defense in space. You will be protecting Earth by firing all kinds of different weapons from your starship, each of which can be upgraded at a cost. To fire your weapon, simply tap on the one of your choice and then tap on the approaching enemies. The game features a variety of weapons and enemies, retro graphics and online leaderboards.

Pocket Devil ($.99 -> Free): It's like
Pocket God, only with a devilish theme. Spawn Mugat2s and terrorize them however you wish. You have tons of tools at your disposal. Mugat2s can also be slightly customized before being added to the mix. The game is updated frequently with new content, so there should always be something to do. It also features OpenFeint integration.
Pocket Devil is available for free for an undisclosed amount of time. It has a three-and-a-half-star rating, and a total of 124 ratings.
Pocket Zoo with Live Animal Cams ($1.99 -> Free): An app that brings the zoo to you. You can watch real live streaming videos of a wide variety of animals from zoos all over the world, and even take a picture of the live feed and share them with friends. But that's only the start, you can also view 40 original animal illustrations and listen to the sounds they make, view fun facts, learn about endangered species and much more.
Pocket Zoo is available for free today only (8/13). It has a four-star rating, and a total of 67 ratings.
GameBoy Camera ($.99 -> Free): Relive the 90s with this app. Take pictures or import them from your Camera Roll and the app will turn them into simulated GameBoy Camera-like images. The app also allows you to adjust the green balance, contrast and brightness, and see a real-time preview of what's happening. Export images to your Camera Roll to use however you please.

Archangel: Fate of the Galactic Commonwealth ($1.99 -> Free): An arcade space shooter that features tap controls. Pilot your ship by simply tapping in the direction you want it to go, and take down your enemies by holding either the phaser or torpedo buttons while tapping. You can check the status of your ship via buttons located at the top of the screen.
Archangel is available for free today only (8/13). It has a three-star rating, and a total of 134 ratings.
aMaze! ($.99 -> Free): It's labyrinth, not on steroids. Tilt and turn your device to get the metal ball through the highlighted hole, just don't let it fall through any of the other holes, otherwise you will have to start all over. The game features a total of 120 levels, multiple difficulty settings and the ability to calibrate the tilt controls.

iPad only:
Monster Memory ($.99 -> Free): A memory game that also teaches your child words. The game features a variety of monster tiles that need to be matched by tapping, but also tiles with 64 of the most commonly used words in the English language. This way when your child flips these word cards over, they get to hear the word read aloud, which should help with their word development. The game features customizable board sizes.
Monster Memory is available for free for an undisclosed amount of time. It has a three-star rating, and a total of 13 ratings.
