iPhone And iPad Apps Gone Free: Doodle Sky Pro, Photophun, Finger Dash And More

Today's list features a couple of apps intended for children, a jigsaw puzzle creator, an avoidance game for your iPad and more. Doodle Sky Pro ($1.99 -> Free): Take to the skies in your doodle aircraft and shoot down your foes.  Enemy planes can be shot down by aligning your craft with another by drawing lines on the screen.  Your aircraft will shoot automatically when aligned.  The game features 40 stages, over 20 different aircraft to unlock and OpenFeint integration. Doodle Sky Pro is available for free today only (8/18).  It has a three-and-a-half-star rating, and a total of 46 ratings. Photophun ($.99 -> Free): Turn your own photos into puzzles.  Simply import an image from your Camera Roll, choose one of the three puzzle types -- jigsaw, honeycomb, or squares, and then start putting it together. Imported images can be scaled in order to focus on a specific area.  If you are having difficulties at any time, just take a peek at the finished puzzle. Photophun is available for free until Friday, August 20th. It has a four-star rating, and a total of five ratings. iPuzzle Words Food ($.99 -> Free): An entertaining learning tool for children.  Puzzle tiles with images and letters are scrambled on the screen, and your child must simply rearrange them by letter or by reconstructing the image.  When completed, your child will be able to hear the word. iPuzzle Words Food is available for free for a limited time. It has a three-star rating, and a total of seven ratings. My Funny Train Stickers ($1.99 -> Free): Another app intended for children.  In this one, your child can construct a scene using 100 stickers and five different backgrounds.  Once completed, it can be saved to the Camera Roll for later viewing, or you can save a black and white version and print it off so your child can color it in on paper. My Funny Train Stickers is available for free for a limited time. It has a four-star rating, and a total of seven ratings. iPad only: Finger Dash ($.99 -> Free): An avoidance game where you must drag a yellow square around in the open space in order to avoid the other squares.  In classic mode you must simply survive for as long as possible; and in challenge mode you must survive for a given amount of time.  The game features leaderboards as well. Finger Dash is available for free for a limited time.  It has a three-star rating, and a total of 13 ratings. Developers: If you are a developer who would like to get your app included in our “Apps Gone Free” daily lists, here’s our basic set of rules:
  • The app must be free for at least one whole day.
  • It must have at least a three-star average rating at the time it goes free.
  • The app must not have been free numerous times (3+) over the last six months.
