iPhone And iPad Apps Gone Free: Earth Defender, Rafter HD, MakeMyMusic And More

Today's list contains some great games for both iPhone and iPad, along with an app that will help you create music and one that will help you enjoy your own even more. Super Juicy ($1.99 -> Free): A remove 'em style game that's very juicy.  Tap groups of three or more like-colored bubbles in order to remove them from the board.  Remove a certain amount to move on to the next level.  Just don't let the bubbles reach the top, otherwise you will lose.  The game features five modes of play including local multiplayer, 40 levels, and Agon integration to supply leaderboards. Super Juicy is available for free today only (8/22).  It has a four-star rating, and a total of 185 ratings. MakeMyMusic ($.99 -> Free): Plays music from your library based on the time of day, so you can get music that hopefully fits your mood.  You can adjust what time you want the app to consider to be morning, noon, evening, and night, pick specific artists for certain times of day, and adjust how the app looks. MakeMyMusic is available for free for an undisclosed amount of time. It has a four-star rating, and a total of six ratings. Rafter ($.99 -> Free): A physics-based puzzle game where you are required to draw and drop shapes from the top of the screen, and then have them fall and hit the red spikey ball in the playing field.  The game features sketchy Da Vinci inspired graphics, 101 levels, and OpenFeint integration. Rafter is available for free for an undisclosed amount of time. It has a three-star rating, and a total of 161 ratings. PatternMusic ($1.99 -> Free): Create unique music by moving instrument icons around the screen.  Moving an instrument up and down will control its volume, while moving it left and right will adjust its stereo position.  But that's really only the beginning for this app, and the only way to fully understand it is to follow along with the tutorial within the app. PatternMusic is available for free for an undisclosed amount of time. It has a three-and-a-half-star rating, and a total of 85 ratings. Earth Defender ($.99 -> Free): It's like Missile Command on steroids.  Defend Earth by tapping on the screen to place bombs, and tapping and holding on special bomb-resistent enemies to take them down with your laser.  You can use up to five fingers at once on the screen to accomplish this task.  Enemies drop power-ups that can replenish your shield and weapons.  If you get into too much trouble, shake your device to nuke your enemies.  The game features six levels, 15 enemy types, seven bosses, and OpenFeint integration. Earth Defender is available for free today only (8/22). It has a four-and-a-half-star rating, and a total of 151 ratings. iPad only: Super Juicy HD ($1.99 -> Free): Just like the iPhone version above, only iPad optimized. Super Juicy HD is available for free today only (8/22). It has a three-star rating, and a total of 127 ratings. Rafter HD ($1.99 -> Free): Just like the iPhone version above, only iPad optimized. Rafter HD is available for free for an undisclosed amount of time. It has a three-star rating, and a total of 14 ratings. • The app must be free for at least one whole day.
• It must have at least a three-star average rating at the time it goes free.
• The app must not have been free numerous times (3+) over the last six months.
